The key to this success has been our world-class sponsorship base. More Fortune 500 companies rely on NASCAR to build their brands and market their products and services than any other sport. Roush Fenway supports its partners with on-track performance and is a leader in NASCAR marketing solutions.

Roush initially formed Jack Roush Performance Engineering in in 1976. That company went on to continue building engines for other teams throughout the early 1980s, then in 1984 Roush returned to racing in the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) and International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) road racing series’. He went on to claim 24 national championships and titles in the two series, including 12 manufacturer’s championships, winning 119 races, while working with acclaimed drivers such as Tommy Kendall, Scott Pruett and Willy T. Ribbs. Roush also captured 10 consecutive sedan-class championships at the prestigious 24 Hours of Daytona, teaming with drivers such as Kendall, Pruett, Mark Martin, Bill Elliott, Ricky Rudd and Kyle Petty, as well as actor Paul Newman and Olympic star Bruce Jenner.

In 1988, Roush launched his first NASCAR Cup Series team with driver Mark Martin. In October 1989, Roush and Martin claimed their first NASCAR Cup Series victory at North Carolina Motor Speedway. From there the two would go on to form one of the most successful partnerships in NASCAR history. Martin, who won 35 NASCAR Cup Series races with Roush, was inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame in January 2017.

Roush joined forces with Doug Yates to form Roush Yates Engines in 2005.  The engine shop based out of Mooresville, N.C., supplies horsepower for Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing, Richard Petty Motorsports and several other teams in the NASCAR Cup Series, XFINITY, Truck and ARCA Series’.

In 2007, Roush Racing and Fenway Sports Group (owners of the Boston Red Sox) announced a joint venture and the formation of Roush Fenway Racing. The relationship combined two championship organizations that have distinguished track records of success in sports, into a single, powerful team with the resources, expertise and horsepower needed to sustain an elite position in NASCAR. Fenway Sports Group supports RFK by using their experience, relationships, and large audience base to add value to RFK’s sponsors, and maintain an unsurpassed position among NASCAR teams.

In 2021, Brad Keselowski joined the team as both a driver and co-owner, and pilots the famed No. 6 Ford Mustang in the NCS. With the ownership addition, the team rebranded its organization to Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing (RFK), combining three iconic names in Jack Roush, John Henry (Fenway) and Brad Keselowski.
